Review: That Cheese Plate Wants to Party

A fun book for casual entertaining.
“Festive Boards, Spreads, and Recipes with The Cheese By Numbers Method”
That Cheese Plate Wants To Party has several unique features including a Spotify play list for each board or plate, color coordinated arrangements and a six step arrangement strategy to aid in creating each presentation. It also includes a variety of recipes and a section on drinks. The art work is very good and colorful.
I’ve only made one platter (“that Bachelorette plate“, p. 150), but I was very happy with the results. I was not able to find some ingredients (for example, edible hibiscus flowers or marigold petals and golden berries), but made substitutions. Also, my platter was a little smaller so I did not create the “diamond ring” with the brie.
I created my plate around Memorial Day weekend. The strawberries were delicious and the strawberry jam went very well with the plain flatbread crackers. Also, I watched u-tube videos on how to serve brie and cut cheese which turned out great!
